Erasmus Charter
In 2021, the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) awarded Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education for the entire period of operation of the Erasmus+ programmе from 2021 to 2027.
In accordance with the requirements for awarding an Erasmus charter for higher education, VFU developed the “Erasmus+ 2021-2027 University Policy” (Erasmus Policy Statement), which contains:
- The international strategy of the university for the selection of partners (from the EU and outside the EU), in which geographical areas and the most important goals and target groups of the activities related to the mobility (in terms of staff and students in the first, second and third cycles, including education and training, as well as short cycles);
- Strategy of the university for the organization and implementation of international (in the EU and outside the EU) projects for cooperation in teaching and ltraining in relation to projects implemented under the programme;
- The expected impact of the university’s participation in the programme for the modernization of VFU “Chernorizets Hrabar” and the programme for the modernization and internationalization of the higher education in the EU;
By signing the Charter, VFU “Chernorizets Hrabar” is committed to contribute to the policy of modernization and internationalization of higher education in the European Union, which includes five priorities:
- Improving the educational level of graduating students and researchers in view of the needs of the EU;
- Improving the quality and applicability of higher education;
- Strengthening the quality through mobility and cross border cooperation;
- Connecting higher education, research and business to achieve excellence and regional development;
- Improving management and funding;
