The right to participate in outgoing academic learning mobility is available to all students (from EU and non-EU citizens) of VFU who:
- are enrolled at VFU to study (regardless of the mode of study) and will acquire a recognized educational degree or other recognized qualification for higher education (up to and including a doctoral degree);
- at the time of starting the mobility, have completed at least two semesters in the higher education system;
- have the necessary level of language proficiency in which the training will be carried out, required by the host institution.
- have passed their exams at VFU up to the time of application, at least with Good 4.00 overall grade. Students enrolled in master’s programmes, who at the time of application have not yet passed their exams and PhD students, apply with the average grade with which they were enrolled in the relevant degree of higher education. For doctoral students, the average grade from the entrance exams is taken;
- have no failed exams from previous semesters;
Participation in academic learning or placement mobility can be multiple. The total duration of the mobility period may not exceed 12 (twelve) months within each individual educational and qualification degree bachelor, master and educational and scientific doctoral degree. Students studying in programmes ending with one degree (e.g. Law, Architecture) can realize mobility for up to 24 (twenty-four) months. The admissible total period of student mobility of a maximum of 12 (twelve) months within each educational and qualification degree can be formed as a sum of separate realized learning mobilities only or learning and placement. Previous participation in the Lifelong Learning programme, sector Erasmus programme is included in the maximum permissible period of 12 (twelve) months for each cycle of education.

The student can carry out the mobility:
- with financial support from EU funds;
- no financial support (zero grant) from EU funds;
- with financial support from EU funds combined with a period of no financial support from EU funds;
- support for a participant with special needs.
Participation in learning mobility is allowed for students who have participated in placement mobility.
Participation in placement mobility is allowed for students who have participated in learning mobility.
The permissible duration of student learning mobility is from 3 (three) to 12 (twelve) calendar months.
Students can implement student learning mobility under the Programme in a higher education institution (having a Erasmus Charter for Higher Education) with which an inter-institutional agreement has been signed in the field of knowledge in which the student is studying.
Students participating in a mobility project in the field of higher education (regardless of whether they are studying or doing an internship abroad) cannot simultaneously receive an Erasmus Mundus joint master’s degree scholarship and vice versa.
Students must do student learning mobility in a country or partner country under the programme that is different from the country of the sending organization and the country in which they reside during their studies.
