The institution shall inform the Participant that it should have a EUROPEAN HEALTHCARE OR MERCHANT HEALTH CERTIFICATE for the purpose of ensuring and facilitating access during mobility to free medical treatment in the host country when it is an EU or EEA Member State.

  1. The institution is entitled to insure the Beneficiary on all compulsory insurance types necessary to carry out her mobility in the host country. The institution may also authorize the host organization to do so if appropriate and this will facilitate mobility.
  2. The institution recommends that the Participant should insure additional optional forms of insurance. It is recommended that insurance types be concluded as follows:

–  “Medical expenses abroad” type insurance – covering expenses/expenses for using urgent medical care and / or for providing in-kind medical or treatment abroad;

Accident Insurance – It is recommended to take out such insurance regardless of the possession of a European Health Insurance Card. Recommended for mobility outside the borders of EU or EEA Member States.

–  Third Party Liability Insurance – Coverage of damages caused by the Participant to third parties in conducting practice and staying abroad.

Upon non-inclusion of this insurance, the Participant declares that she is aware that she bears the property liability for the damage caused to third parties during her stay abroad.

When entering into insurances, the Participant should ensure adequate liability limits on them in accordance with the risk of mobility.
